SOUNDTRACK is your one hour red carpet ride to the marvellous music of movies and television. Will give you the inside scoop on the songs, and feature the films and TV productions in which they were played – we’ll also catch up when we can to the songwriters, composers, producers, directors and music supervisors attached to the tunes and of course we’ll enjoy the songs themselves. As you might imagine with the hundreds of thousands of TV shows and movies made over the years the scope for SOUNDTRACK is massive – so we’ll give each episode an area of focus and shine the spotlight on that. Today it’s all about sports – every song we play was used in a production that revolved around sports – from football to hockey, baseball to wrestling – golf, figure skating – curling you name it – heck we’ve even thrown in a tune about pool. Not the swimming kind the billiard kind – and before you say Stephanie pool’s a game not a sport – I’ll tell you kindly today it’s a sport. All of our songs combine music and lyrics. Some of our songs were written for the screen others placed in the picture. Some would claim theme song status, while others would play during that all important scene. We’ve got wide variety of genres – from blues to ballads – folk to pop to rock! Listen.
