SOUNDTRACK is your one hour red carpet ride to the marvellous music of movies and television. We’ll give you the inside scoop on the songs, and feature the films and TV productions in which they were played – we’ll also where we can – share the background on the songwriters, composers, producers, directors and music supervisors attached to the tunes and of course we’ll enjoy the songs themselves. Now, As you might imagine with the hundreds of thousands of TV shows and movies made over the years the scope for SOUNDTRACK is massive – so we’ll give each episode an area of focus and shine the spotlight on that and for this one – there’s no better time of year to feature the amazing music that made SUMMER movies so wonderful to watch. From Academy Award winning scores to sing along favourites, romantic duets to rock ‘n roll classics – today’s show will run the gamut. Some tunes were written specifically for the big screen while other songs were placed so perfectly they’d ensure the movie’s scene lived on with iconic status. All of these songs are sure to bring you back to the first summer you heard them and hopefully – get you making plans to watch those SUMMER MOVIES AGAIN!
