SOUNDTRACK is your one hour red carpet ride to the marvellous music of movies and television. We’ll give you the inside scoop on the songs, and feature the films and TV productions in which they were played – we’ll also where we can share the background on the songwriters, composers, producers, directors and music supervisors attached to the tunes and of course we’ll enjoy the songs themselves. Now – As you might imagine with the hundreds of thousands of TV shows and movies made over the years the scope for SOUNDTRACK is massive – so we’ll give each episode an area of focus and shine the spotlight on that and on this very special edition we’re combining my three favourite things – movies, music and CHRISTMAS. IN FACT each of the 10 tunes we’ll be featuring can be found in my Top 10 Favourite Christmas movies of all time. From holiday Hollywood classics, to festive family fantasies, to the Christmassy-est kind of romantic comedies – we’ll count them down to #1 – playing a sweet selection from their soundtrack that really helped make the movie ever so memorable. From seasonal staples placed in the picture to original tunes written specifically for the film, we’ve got sweeping scores, and merry Motown music – we’ve even got some songs that have nothing to do with Christmas at all. I can’t wait to share to share them with you so let’s get this countdown started.
