SOUNDTRACK is your one hour red carpet ride to the marvellous music of movies and television. Will give you the inside scoop on the songs, and feature the films and TV productions in which they were played – we’ll also catch up when we can to the songwriters, composers, producers, directors and music supervisors attached to the tunes and of course we’ll enjoy the songs themselves. Now as you might imagine with hundreds of thousands of TV shows and movies made over the years the scope for SOUNDTRACK is massive – so we’ll give each episode an area of focus and shine the spotlight on that. And what with this episode falling in that stretch of holiday time between Christmas and New Year’s I thought we’d play music from films that feature both of those festive occasions. We’ve got everything from Oscar winning theme’s to billboard’s pop chart toppers, country music to soul classics, from a list of movies that span the decades – from those seasonal staples to recent remakes, made for TV movies to box office blockbusters – gripping dramas to romantic comedies we’ve got you covered and them some.
Here’s the playlist from the Soundtrack – Holiday Movie Hits episode. All of the songs are available on iTunes so to get a copy for your collection just click on the title.
