I knew I was in for the treat of all treats sitting down for the first time with Halifax-born Nashville-based, world-renowned singer-songwriter Steve Poltz. We met at one of Steve’s favourite spots to play – mega ECMA Award-winning club The Carleton just prior to the first of his 2 sold-out shows that mark the start of his tour through the Maritimes. Now if you’re familiar with his music you’ll know Mr.Poltz puts it all out there in his songs so I was certain this hour would fly by with the fun of it and man did it ever. We talked about everything from first kisses to favourite movies to his feelings on destiny – we even talked about writing a tune together – the inspiration for which you’ll hear in a bit along with the 3 songs of his Steve would put in a time capsule and some of my favourites too. It’s an entertaining hour to be sure of it – so without further ado – here’s the one and only Steve Poltz!
