Fall is our favourite season – the leaves, the pumpkins, the apple pie – it’s perfection! So even though Lester’s Farm Market is a lovely spot to visit in spring and summer (and around Christmas too) it’s extra special come harvest time.

What they say in their tagline is true – Lester’s Farm Market – Where traditions also grow – so when mom and dad were living in Holyrood and The Sidekick was on the scene – we’d always head to Lester’s for a day of fall fun on the farm – for the fruit and vegetables, and wagon rides, and YES the ice cream too!
Part of their fun every fall includes their oh so popular corn maze. They just shared an aerial shot of this year’s offering Instagram and you’ve got to admit – it’s aMAZEing!!!
Their petting zoo is open too, along with their greenhouse with flowers and of course they’ve got plenty of fresh veggies including upick corn.

Their crowd pleasing Pumpkinfest is a go for this year – and they’ll be releasing the details on that very soon so stay tuned and be sure to check out their Country Craft Fair starting November 7th. Follow them on Facebook @lestersfarmmarket so you’ll be in the know and by all means tag us @EastCoastCurator so we won’t miss a minute of your fall fun!

The History of Lester’s Farm Market
“For more than 160 years, the Lesters have been farming on Brookfield Road. During this time, we have supplied St. John’s and the surrounding area with high quality fresh products. Milk, eggs, poultry and a great variety of fresh vegetables and small fruit have all been produced here on the farm. In the 1980s, the farm split into two sections to accommodate growth; the farm market being one, and the dairy farm being the other. Despite the division, both families have stayed close, helping each other out when they can. Currently, the sixth generation of Lesters are working on the farm. This is a tradition we hope to continue for many years to come.”
