Alfie Zappacosta on SEA AND BE SCENE And HEARD(1)

Broadcast Date – November 15, 2023

Our chats will be just that very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable and when it comes to luck – I want to make it clear – I AM TRULY LUCKY TO DO WHAT I DO! To have the chance to chat with so many incredibly talented people, to have them take time out of their lives to talk with me and then to have it broadcast here on the radio – well it’s an opportunity for which I will always be grateful. I say that today especially because it was such a great fortune to connect with today’s guest. His mega-hit-making, chart-topping, multi-award-winning career spans over 4 decades and he continues to write songs, record new music and play in front of his legions of fans all around the world. In fact he will be joining our pal Jon Mullane for the inaugural edition of the FEELS LIKE CHRISTMAS Tour when it rolls through the Maritimes for three shows – Thursday November 23rd in Fredericton, Friday November 24th in New Glasgow and Saturday November 25th in Halifax – so we’ll talk about those dates and so much more including how he manages to puts together a set list to give audiences what they’re looking for and them some. We’ll discover how his love of music was formed, how he and his band Surrender broke into the music business and why to this day performing makes his heart happy. Plus we’ll get to 1st Things First, play an enlightening round of INsights IN 10 and spin as much of his marvellous music as we can within the hour – so with all that ahead we best get to it – here’s my online conversation with the one and only Alphie Zappacosta.
