Our chats will be just that very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable and let me just say I’ve been waiting to reconnect with this artist for a good long while. In fact she and her bandmate Brenley MacEachern were among the first batch of East Coast Folks and kindred spirits that I interviewed when seaandbescene.com launch and in the nearly 15 years since let’s just say they’ve been given us soooo much to celebrate. Truth be told her duo Madison Violet is just about to celebrate 25 years of making incredible music so we’ll talk about that major milestone and so much more. Including what it was like growing up in the small town of Craignish what it feels like to to be touring the globe with her life’s work and how excited she is to be coming home in November for a show here on the South Shore in Mahone Bay and another across the causeway to her homeland of Cape Breton. We’ll also talk about how happy she is with their latest project – their eleventh album – appropriately titled ELEVEN and how she and the moment she and Brenley first discovered their incredible harmonies. PLUS we’ll get to first things first, play a long over due round of insights in 10 and spin as much of Madison Violet’s music as we can within the hour – so with all that ahead we best get to it – here’s my conversation with the one and only Lisa MacIsaac.
