Broadcast Date – April 11, 2018
Today we’re connecting with a kindred spirit of the finest kind – an award-winning singer-songwriter who topped the country music charts back in the nineties with hits like “Somebody’s Leaving” and “What Else Can Do?” With back-to-back #1’s Patricia Conroy established herself in the CCMA family as a star with true staying power – expanding her career over the years beyond that of a solo touring artist to that of a hit-maker as well. Writing radio smashes with everyone from Michelle Wright, to Jessica Mitchell to our very own Jimmy Rankin and we’ll talk about those collaborations along with her contribution to Reba McEntire’s Grammy Winning CD, her inspirations, her approach to sessions and how she got her start in the music business. Naturally, when you’re in that line of work – you hang your hat where the action is – so we’re connecting with the Canadian-born Ms.Conroy in Music City, USA. Here’s my conversation with the one and only Patricia Conroy!
