Our chats will be just that – very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable… In the case of today’s guest, our great chat is LONG OVERDUE. Now if you did a search for award-winning filmmaker Emily Bridger on SeaAndBeScene.com – you’d imagine we’d often crossed paths – between her Cool People Profile and her screenwriting credits there are a ton of features – in fact, she was even a guest on SEA AND BE SCENE TV’s first Movie Makers Special, but truth be told ours has been a completely virtual relationship… so naturally, we were excited when she agreed to connect for the first time to talk about her first feature film LITTLE ORPHANS for which she wrote the screenplay and also stars. So we’ll get right into it including the inspiration for the drama and her incredible co-stars that include REPUBLIC OF DOYLE alum Marthe Bernard and Singer/Songwriter Andrew James O’Brien – we’ll also talk about her stellar team behind the camera including her director the wonderful Ruth Lawrence. Plus we’ll get the scoop on their, super stylin’ wrap party, her long list of cast and credits, the phenomenal female filmmaking scene in Newfoundland, and play a beyond belated round of INsights IN 10 – so with all that ahead I say let’s get to it. Here’s my conversation with the one and only Emily Bridger. (you can find the player at the bottom of this post)
