Our chats will be just that very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable and I’m going to add totally cool to that list as today’s guest is all that and then some. He is an award-winning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer – he’s also one of Alan Doyle’s incredibly talented band – the much-beloved Beautiful Gypsies – but due to the worldwide halt to worldwide touring – we’re able to connect with Newfoundland born, Nova Scotia-based Cory Tetford, who by the way has made great use of his downtime having just released a killer EP called ROAD SONGS – a brilliant blend of cools blues, traditional country and heartbreaking ballads with a dash of gospel for good luck. So we’ll talk about all of that and a whole lot more – including his earliest days of touring, where he finds inspiration for his songs and the surprising sport he’d love to play if he couldn’t play music anymore. Plus we’ll get to FIRST THINGS FIRST – play a fun round of INsights IN 10 and of course spin as many of his stellar new tunes as we can squeeze into the hour – so with all that ahead – I say let’s get to it. Here’s my conversation with the one and only Cory Tetford.
We played some awesome tunes from Cory’s new EP ROAD SONGS on the show all of which are available on iTunes to get your copy just click on the title – “Still Drunk On You”, “We Tried”, “Sunday Morning” and “Devil Woman”
