Stephanie Joline on SEA AND BE SCENE and HEARD 2021

Broadcast Date – July 14, 2021

It was so great connecting with today’s guest. After so many years of celebrating her work in television and film – both in front of and behind the camera for years we were definitely due for a catch-up. And with her steady stream of constant creativity, I was definitely looking forward to getting the scoop on what’s brand new and yet to come. Perfect timing too as just last week “Wela’lin” was released to radio.  Written and performed by some truly talented indigenous artists, “Wela’lin” – which means “Thank You” in Mi‘kmaq – is a song of hope and healing that encourages people to protect their communities by getting the COVID-19 vaccine.  Our guest today directed the wonderful music video that further delivers the powerful message in an oh-so-lovely way.  So we’ll talk about that project and so much more – including her forthcoming feature NIGHT BLOOMS, her current project in development TIME TRIPPING and what she loved most about the awesome anthology feature she worked on in the past. We’ll also get to First Things First, play a fun round of INsights IN 10 and spin some of her favourite tunes along the way. So with all that ahead we best get to it.  Here’s my telephone conversation with the one and only Stephanie Joline.
