SOUNDTRACK is your one hour red carpet ride through the marvellous music of movies and television. We’ll give you the inside scoop on the songs, and feature the films and tv productions in which they were played – we’ll also where we can share the background on the songwriters, composers, producers, directors and music supervisors attached to the tunes and of course we’ll enjoy the songs themselves. And as you might imagine with hundreds of thousands of TV shows and movies made over the years the scope for SOUNDTRACK is massive – so we’ll give each episode an area of focus and shine the spotlight on that. Now for the first time ever it’s our Special Salute to the Oscars® Edition with our very Special co-host The Sidekick! And our musical selection truly runs the gamut – from rock ‘n roll classics to chart topping pop tunes, emotional anthems to sweeping scores and quiet ballads. And while the Oscar® nominations are limited to recognizing music created specifically for the screen between January 1st and December 31st, 2023 – our playlist includes some crazy incredible needle drops of those oh so perfectly placed previously released creations. We’ll feature the stellar roster of nominees in all the major categories and give our picks for Best Original Score and Best Original Song – so grab your popcorn and your fanciest formal wear for what’s sure to be an Oscar-worthy edition of our show!
