Broadcast Date – February 12, 2025
And our chats will be just that very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable. And you know the best part of this SEA AND BE SCENE journey over the years? I’ve yet to run out of incredibly talented folks to talk with. In many cases, my guests are fresh on the scene and I’m keen to shine the spotlight in support of what they’ve got going on. And in other cases, they’re people I’ve had on my radar for a very, very, long time. Oh sure, there have been many written features about this fella over the years and more shout outs to him on this show than I care to count, but today at long last I am finally getting this fella on the broadcast. Truth be told he’s always got something creative on the go so it’s hard to catch up, but today we’re catching him on the eve of the Halifax screening of in sophomore feature film LOOK AT ME. A fictional autobiography in which he also stars is a deeply personal look inside as he searches
for validation on his journey to find someone who truly loves and sees him, only to embark on an unwitting journey of self-love amid his eating disorder relapse. Indeed, we’ll get into all of that and then some – including how he turned the personal stage play into this new five-chapter dramedy and how it felt to put the pieces together after navigating the passage of time over a year and a half. We’ll also chat about another movie he has in post-production, and how he made his way from the West Coast to make his home here in Nova Scotia. And speaking of home, we’ll get the inside scoop on how he met his partner in all things on-screen and off – the phenomenal KOUMBIE and hear how life is going with their new baby boy. Plus, we’ll get to 1st Things First – play a long overdue round of INsights IN 10 and even spin some cool soundtrack music while we’re at it. So with all that ahead we best get to it. Here’s my telephone conversation with the one and only Taylor Olson.
