Broadcast Date – February 11, 2026
Our chats will be just that very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable – and I’d bet any money if you’ve had the great fortune of crossing paths with today’s guest – you were more joyful because of it. After a mega award-winning career that spans more than 2 decades, 14 albums and hundreds and hundreds of live shows – we fortunate folks number off the charts. In fact, I’ve lost track of the number of times his name has been mentioned here on the show – from much anticipated headliner at a festival to a cherished co-writing session, a terrific touring partner, perfect producer and dearest friend – the impact he has made on so many is immeasurable. And while his humble side will fight me on it at every turn we’ll talk about all of that and so much more. We’ll also celebrate his brand new project set for release on February 20, 2026. It’s called Field Notes and while there’s no denying its production is like nothing he’s ever experienced for an album – I’d go so far as to say there’s never been a project that has captured the true artist that he is so magnificently. Just wait til you hear all about it. Plus we’ll get to The 1st Word, play The Final Countdown and of course spin as much of marvellous music as we can within the hour. So with all that ahead we best get to it – here’s my telephone conversation with the one and only Dave Gunning. (you’ll find the player at the bottom of the post)
