Today’s guest will be a familiar one to many of you – for a good many years Newfoundland native Kayla Hounsell could be seen on your evening and weekend newscasts here in the Maritimes – but just last year after covering the murder trial of Will Sandeson following the death his Dalhousie classmate Taylor Samson she shifted her focus to writing a book – the result is the just released Nimbus publication “First Degree: From Med School to Murder: The Story Behind the Shocking Will Sandeson Trial.” So we’ll talk about that and so much more – including how she began her career in journalism, her award-winning coverage in Liberia, and her new gig as CBC’s National Reporter for the Maritimes – plus her take on destiny, her feelings flying and we’ll play a fun round of INsights IN 10 – so with all that ahead let’s get to it – here’s my conversation with the one and only Kayla Hounsell!
