SOUNDTRACK is your one hour red carpet ride to the marvellous music of movies and television. Will give you the inside scoop on the songs, and feature the films and TV productions in which they were played – we’ll also catch up when we can to the songwriters, composers, producers, directors and music supervisors attached to the tunes and of course we’ll enjoy the songs themselves. Now, as you might imagine with hundreds of thousands of TV shows and movies made over the years the scope for SOUNDTRACK is massive – so we’ll give each episode an area of focus and shine the spotlight on that. There’s no question these are unprecedented times – between the travel bans, and stay -home-orders – even the most introverted among us a starting to get a bit squirrely sheltering in place – and I can’t imagine the toll it’s taking all you globe-trotting crowd-loving wanderlust driven ones out there. So for the next our goal will be to take you on a trip around the world through song as we turn our SOUNDTRACK spotlight to music for movies about VACATIONS – with the stipulation that the destination must be in the title. We’ll take you across the sea to exotic locations, to Europe’s most Romantic cities and across North America with toasts from coast to coast. We’ll feature Oscar winning scores, and title tracks to top 10 hits and rock n’ roll remakes. (original airdate June 22, 2020 – in the midst of the pandemic)
