Now if you’ve been a part of this SEA AND BE SCENE celebration from the beginning you’ll know that one of the very first music festivals we covered was the legendary Stan Rogers Folk Festival back in the summer of July of 2011 and our celebration has continued to this day. Now in their 27^th season Stanfest is legendary and the reason why every summer thousands and thousands of music lovers from all around the world arrive in tiny Canso, Nova Scotia to experience 4 incredible days and nights packed with outstanding entertainment from the very best songwriters – from the mega award winning veterans to the brightest new artists – everyone loves playing Stanfest. And if you’ve been following them for years like we have you know that in addition to announcing their spectacular roster of artists this year’s social media posts have included a fun batch of THEN and NOW pictures featuring the loyal and long serving Stanfest Crew as they first appeared back in the day and how they are fairing today more than a quarter century later. Fun to see for sure but it got me thinking… instead of just telling you who’s playing at Stanfest this year – I should share some of the great times I’ve had with those artists right here on SEA AND BE SCENE… And HEARD – everything from 1st Things First to More of Less to a special game show I created for a truly special group and of course some stellar conversations about their musical creations too!
