Our chats will be just that – very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable. And oh my goodness, today is all that and then some. Indeed, it’s always a treat to connect with this truly creative force, but today it’s extra special as we’re celebrating her brand new film BLUEBERRY GRUNT, which is set to screen at this year’s ATLANTIC INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL here in Halifax on September 11. The movie stars Joel Thomas Hynes and Liisa Repo-Martell as Harold and Vivian who embark on an annual camping and blueberry picking trip to celebrate their anniversary. Fair to say it’s anything but a vacation, complete with some wicked fights and some brushes with death. They face more than the elements before it’s all said and done, and for the record, it’s all done so very well. So we’ll talk about all of it, including the inspiration for these two incredible characters and the tremendous team behind the scenes of this movie. We’ll also talk about filming in her home province of Newfoundland and discuss the important role music plays in this film, which includes the planetary premiere of their soon-to-be hit soundtrack song “Choices“😉Plus, we’ll talk about her role as showrunner for the forthcoming 4th season of SULLIVAN’S CROSSING, start with The 1st Word and even do The Final Countdown.
